On March 27, MeetFuture officially launched its next-generation AMHS intelligent transport solution—the SkySail SS5000 Series OHT Overhead Hoist Transport System. As a pioneer in China's AMHS field, Dr. Li Hongwei, Chief Technology Officer of MeetFuture, served as the keynote speaker for the launch event. Centered on the themes of "intelligence, efficiency, and independent controllability," the release targeted the complex logistics scenarios in semiconductor factories, introducing ten major technological upgrades to help domestic semiconductor equipment break through overseas technological blockades.

Dr. Li Hongwei elaborated in detail on the three-dimensional technological breakthroughs of the SkySail product series in computing power, algorithms, and data, as well as the comprehensive four-layer design innovations across architecture, platform, mechanisms, and applications. Centered around the customer value model, the series has achieved overall enhancement, enabling SkySail to set a new benchmark in the AMHS industry with leading performance and create a new application experience for customers.



Core products: AMHS and OHT overhead hoist transport systems

The full name of AMHS is Automated Material Handling System. It is an advanced logistics system in semiconductor wafer fabs, designed to transport and store wafers and reticles between process equipment across the entire factory with high speed, precision, and stability. It must operate reliably over the long term to ensure the production capacity and quality of wafer manufacturing.

AMHS has various types of transmission equipment. However, the most efficient and technically challenging among them is the OHT  crane system, which involves installing complex track systems on the factory ceiling to enable full-facility operation and material handling.

Q1:The in-vehicle visual sky eye system introduced earlier, can it provide more intelligent functions like autonomous driving in the future?

 

"Online recording and monitoring are just the first step; intelligence is the ultimate goal. Vehicle-mounted vision contains a wealth of semantic information, serving as an effective complement to the physical signals from sensors. It is particularly well-suited for handling unstructured and dynamically changing scenarios. Our vehicle control platform also boasts powerful computing capabilities and neural network chips, enabling the migration of visual technologies from the smart car sector. Under the condition of ensuring safety redundancy, the future Sky-Eye system could replace most electromechanical sensors, achieving advanced intelligent functions such as navigation assistance, cargo recognition, and collision warning. All of these are part of the ongoing development plan for our SkySail product line."


Q2 Just now, it was mentioned that a lot of new designs have been made in terms of algorithms. So, compared to the leading AMHS companies abroad, do we have any advantages?

 

"Our algorithm has a clear late-mover advantage.  

First, we have studied a large number of mature algorithmic technologies in the AMHS industry.  

Second, our advanced algorithm joint laboratory, established in collaboration with renowned universities, continuously integrates cutting-edge theories and technologies.  

Third, our engineers analyze vast amounts of factory operational data and employ integrated simulation, particularly leveraging deep reinforcement learning techniques for training and optimization, giving our algorithm a significant edge.  

We conducted comparative tests on the simulation platform using the same factory layout and manufacturing process. For an AMHS system with 300 OHTs, our ADT is over 10% faster compared to the actual production data of leading foreign competitors."


Q3 After the release of the Tianfan series OHT products today, when will they officially be launched and delivered?

 

"The Tianfan product series will be available for mass production and market launch upon release. Leveraging MeetFuture's R&D and quality systems, we strictly manage the entire process from prototype to mass production through rigorous project milestones. We only officially launch products when they meet the quality standards for stable mass production. Here’s a sneak peek: the Tianfan OHT will be delivered to customer sites in the first half of this year, completing the first full-factory deployment. Moving forward, we will also invite customers and interested friends to our company to experience the functionality and performance of Tianfan products firsthand."
